Born in Izmir, Türkiye, Lal Utun is an Istanbul-based filmmaker with a background in psychology and visual arts. While focusing on cinematography work, she has a background in producing. Her collaborations usually explore themes of identity, perception, and human connection. Right now, she is pursuing an MFA in film production in New York City as a Fulbright Scholar.
